Design of a Master Plan of Integrated and Sustainable Development of River Niger Valley Resources and Irrigation and Feasibility Study, Preliminary Design (45,000ha) and Detailed Design (20,000ha) Study

Description

The Government of Niger intends to develop irrigation along and from the waters of the Niger River. The Kandadji Program for the Regeneration of Ecosystems and the Promotion of the Niger Valley (P_KRESMIN) is designed around a dam enabling the creation of a reservoir of sufficient capacity to meet the requirements of low water level support, to reduce the degradation of the Niger River ecosystem and to ensure the sustainability of socio-economic activities in the area. This program affects about 60,000 direct beneficiaries.
