Société Tunisienne d’Ingénierie (STUDI) was founded in Tunis, Tunisia.
As an engineering firm, STUDI was established to concentrate on transport infrastructure (ports, roads, airports) and building projects.

1970
STUDI is involved in major infrastructure and land-use planning projects in Tunisia and begins working in the water sector:
  • Land transport infrastructure: roads, highways, railways
  • Urban facilities
  • Airports
  • Ports
  • Buildings: office, administrative, industrial
  • Sanitation networks

STUDI was one of the first engineering firms in Tunisia to utilize computers for engineering projects.

1970 - 1980

Growth and Modernization
  • The workforce grows to over 100, including engineers, consultants, academics and senior technicians
  • First international projects in Sub-Saharan Africa
1980 - 1990
Diversification of Services Provided.
Development of the hydraulics, environment and rural development divisions
  • Creation of STUDI International, to develop export activities
  • Creation of Société Tunisienne d’Informatique pour l’Ingénierie (ST2I), a division specifically developed for computer science engineering
  • Development of the general and economic studies department and creation of Ideaconsult, specializing in general and institutional studies, strategic studies and transport economics
  • Development of advisory activity in hydraulics, agricultural and rural development
  • The workforce reaches 200 employees
1990 - 2000
Internationalization
  • Obtain the quality certification ISO 9001 version 2000
  • Creation of new subsidiaries and affiliate offices in North, West and Central Africa (Algeria, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Senegal)
  • Obtain the quality certification ISO 9001 version 2008
  • Create the conventional and renewable energies department
  • STUDI Group has grown to more than 400 employees
2000 - 2010
Expansion of the African presence
  • STUDI Group celebrates its 40th anniversary
  • Creation of new affiliate offices in Central and West Africa (Congo, Côte d'Ivoire and Cameroon)
  • Certification of the QSE integrated system (Quality ISO9001, Safety OHSAS18001 and Environment ISO14001)
  • STUDI moves into new, ultra-modern headquarters in the Berges du Lac district of Tunis
  • STUDI has more than 600 employees and 90% export business with a presence in more than 30 African countries
