Pre-Feasibility Study of the Construction of New Airports in Kidal and Taoudenit

Description

The Taoudenit community does not have an airport platform open to public air traffic and there are practically no permanent access roads in the region. The existing Kidal airport is located in a landlocked site between the city and the market, which does not comply with ICAO standards, particularly in terms of safety and clearance. This is due to increasing urbanization around the platform, insufficient facilities besides a dirt runway, a meteorological station and an outdated building for air traffic management.
