Development Master Plan of the Bukavu-Kalemie Corridor

Description

The Bukavu-Uvira-Kalemie Corridor is located in the east of the country and borders Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania between Kivu and Tanganyika lakes, which gives it a strategic regional dimension. The Regional Integrated Great Lakes Development Project aims to reduce tensions by improving living conditions and organizing activities that create an economic interdependence between the communities. The target population is about 3 million inhabitants.

• Preparation of the first five-year development plan of the Corridor, preliminary design of major public and collective infrastructure, decision support note
• Preparation and presentation of findings and conclusions, approval of detailed design and of tender documents of priority public infrastructure
• Preparation and presentation of the final report
