The project is part of the national strategy for economic revival. It aims to improve the mobilization and sustainable management of natural resources in the Aïr massifs region over a 35,000 km2 area accommodating 100,000 inhabitants. To this end, an inventory of ground and surface water resources is conducted to assess the surplus in the region and to propose a pilot program for the mobilization of water reserves and their use for the population, livestock and perimeter irrigation supply.
