Solid Waste Management Design of the Porto Novo City

Description

This design is part of the decentralized urban management project (PGUD-2), which aims to increase access to basic infrastructure and services for the inhabitants of cities with special status (Cotonou, Porto-Novo and Parakou) in order to improve living conditions of the population. The city of Porto-Novo and nearby counties do not have a sustainable waste management plan. The city of Porto Novo has experienced an increasing volume of solid waste in the absence of consolidation points which requires the implementation of a waste management strategy.
