Air Transportation Connections of Tunis Region and Transfer of Tunis-Carthage International Airport

Description

The aggressive urbanization as well as the implementation of important real estate programs on Tunis Lake banks and Soukra led to increasing urban pressure on the airport site. Moreover, this constantly evolving urbanization coupled with continued high growth in air traffic raises the question of whether the current location of the airport is viable in the long term. It is in this context that three alternatives have been considered for air transportation in the Tunis Region.
