Works Supervision of the Nouakchott Water Supply Project from the Senegal River (Aftout Essahili)

Description

Drinking water supply to the city of Nouakchott is ensured by only the underground water table in Trarza. The Government has decided to perform a new water transfer from the Senegal River to meet water needs by 2020, while reserving the possibility of further reinforcement to bring its capacity up to the estimated needs of the country by 2030. The project consists of supplying the city of Nouakchott with drinking water from the Senegal River 200km south of the capital.
